Welcome to the MIChild program for health care services. Midwest Health Plan offers this program for children in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw and Livingston Counties. There are no copays or deductibles for services provided under the MIChild program. We have lots of doctors to help you get and stay healthy.

Provider Directory

Your child will have his/her own doctor, a Primary Care Provider (PCP) who will take care of all their medical care. We can help you choose your own doctor. We want you to visit your PCP often to get regular and preventive care. The list of doctors is found by clicking on Provider Directory.

Handbook

This certificate is the complete list of your benefits and services. The terms and conditions of this certificate describe what benefits Midwest has under the MIChild program. Health, Wellness and Disease Management Programs

Midwest cares about the health and happiness of our members. We have a variety of programs to help children stay healthy. Midwest offers MIChild members free health promotion reminder, health fairs, newsletters and incentives. We also have programs to help members with Diabetes and Asthma. We want to be sure you use the benefits and services of the MIChild program. If you have any questions, please contact our friendly and helpful Customer Service staff. If you have a concern or complaint, please let us know. Our policy on Grievance and Appeals is found by clicking on Grievance and Appeals policy. They can answer your questions about services and benefits at #1-888-654-2200. Our office hours are 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. We can answer questions by phone 24 hours a day. We have staff that speak English, Spanish and Arabic. We use an interpreter to speak to you in any other language. The Michigan Relay Center (phone #1-800-649-3777) is available for hearing and/or speech impaired members.
